In English, there are two kinds of noun: countable nouns and uncountable nouns.
COUNTABLE NOUNS: Deal with things that we can count and have both a singular and plural form.
_a dog_, _an apple_, _one boy and one girl_, _a film, _a man_,
_three dogs_, _ten apples_, _six boys and six girls_, _some films_, _a few men_,
To ask about quantity we use ‘How many…?
